The Sign of Hope Project is an attempt to understand the world of panhandling with cardboard signs here in Seattle. This two part project is a combination of artistic photography and documentary film. Our goal was to listen to the stories of those on the streets as well as demisify the people you see on the sidewalk and at intersections around the city. This project has been made possible by our amazing Kickstarter backers including the Seattle Space Academy.

Now that these images have been prepared and printed for this show where we have invited several non-profit organizations who specialize in homelessness to accept donations at the show on Friday. While there is no charge to attend the show and no obligation to give money, we hope you can attend the culmination of our work with the Sign of Hope Project. (Disclaimer: Any donations given at the show will be accepted directly by Seattle organizations and not by the project participants, Urban Enoteca, or the panhandlers themselves.)
